General FAQs

How long does a game take?

Each game runs for 60 minutes. Arrive 10–15 mins early for briefing and get ready to start on time. You'll have 15 minutes after the game too in our lounge space for photos and debriefing.

What ages are escape rooms suitable for?

Our games are recomended for ages 8+, though some rooms are better for teens and adults. All rooms require a participant aged 15+. For birthday parties, the adult supervisor gets to join in free!

How many people can play?

2–8 per room is ideal. Larger groups can book multiple rooms, including our race rooms where two teams can compete head to head in identical rooms.

Can we view the rooms in advance?

No. To preserve the mystery and puzzle secrecy, we don't allow room previews. Each room has a photo on our website showing how it looks when you enter, carefully taken to avoid any spoilers.

Will we be locked in?

Nope. You can leave the room at any time—though we hope you don’t need to until you've beaten the final puzzle!

What’s the difference between Takapuna and CBD?

Takapuna offers a licensed lounge, outdoor games, and larger group options. The CBD is best for quick-hit games and central meetups.

Where is the closest parking?

Auckland CBD
The Victoria Street East carpark at 30 Kitchener Street is the closest council parking building.
The Wilson carpark at 12 Kitchener Street is also conveniently located.
Paid street parking is also available, we recommend you book at least 120 minutes to give time for your briefing, room, and walking to and from your vehicle.
Public transport options are also available nearby.

Takapuna
The Toka Puia Car Park at 15 Northcroft Street is the closest council parking building, which is free on weekends (as of June 2025).
